Here is what you need to know about me.
Where I live:
I live just outside Washington DC in Woodbridge, VA. I grew up in this area, so I was really excited that the Army sent us back here in the summer of 2009.
What I do for work:
After teaching English at the college level for the last 12 years, I have recently moved into technical writing and design work for private industry. While I am still teaching, I love the work I am doing now as well.
What I like to do for fun:
I read a ton of blogs everyday, and I gain so much information from the others in the online diy/crafting community. I also have a dream to someday open the ultimate crafting store. It would be an amazing place!
I love to sew. I am completely self-taught, and that shows on some projects more than others. I don’t really like patterns and use what other people have done as ideas for my own stuff. In addition to sewing, I am a closet scrapbooker and jewelry maker. And, I would love to learn how to make lampwork beads.
I also love to work on projects for our home and spending time with friends and family.
You can contact me at sandy.anderson [at] mac.com if you ever have any questions! I would love to hear from you!
